Details A major issue in manufacturing is to produce and supply low-cost goods, meeting variable demand while securing sales opportunity. In previous studies, we proposed harmonized models of single-stage multi-item for assembler and multi-stage multi-item for individual supplier to balance between inventory reduction and production leveling. In this paper, we propose a model of multi-stage, multi-process and multi-item for suppliers. We formulate a harmonized model for whole suppliers to level load by item and present procedures for prioritized parallel ordering under capacity constraints. We analyze the proposed model, based on a simple numerical example set by sales data of seasonal products.
