Details A major issue in manufacturing is to produce and supply low-cost goods, meeting variable demand while securing sales opportunity. In previous studies, we proposed harmonized models of single-stage multi-process multi-item for assembler with parallel production and multi-stage multi-process multi-item for supplier with capacity constraints to balance between inventory reduction and production leveling per item. In this paper, we propose a harmonized model of multi-stage multi-process multi-item for suppliers to level load per item and process, distributing the procurement risk by parallel ordering. We analyze the proposed model, based on simple numerical examples set by sales data of a seasonal product.
