概要	This study discusses the significance of performance practices in educational media studies. Historically, researchers and practitioners of Japanese educational media studies have encouraged students to expand their senses through audiovisual media to a certain extent. On the other hand, these studies have rarely paid enough attention to how students learn beyond the given images and impressions, i.e., to generate meaning and transform their perceptions through physical and emotional experiences. Indeed, they deepen their understanding within the range of the given images and impressions. Therefore, the authors aimed to develop educational practices, which expand students ‘senses by encouraging them to relate to the other deeply in the audiovisual media through performance practices.
