Details This study examined the linkages between tasks and levels of collaboration, media choices, and team performance. The result of an online survey of 400 full-time employees and executives of large Japanese companies, the proportion of non-routine tasks and the use of electronic media were positively correlated. Implications will be discussed by applying media richness theory and media synchronicity theory.
