概要 | Interactions of two-dimensional solitary waves of the Benney equation are investigated by a formal asymptotic analysis: reduction to a system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) which describes the motion of the pulse positions. After the formation of many pulses the evolution of pulse patterns can be understood by the reduced system of ODEs. Though the ODE system looks quite simple it has non-trivial stable fixed points which correspond to the stationary patterns of the Benney equation. Copyright ? 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
