概要	Rabies is a deadly viral disease with nearly 100% mortality, causing over 50,000 deaths annually, mostly in poor, minority populations in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. This study investigates the linguistic, educational, and media environments of minorities in Southeast Asia at high risk of rabies. In Chiang Mai Province, many students speak mother tongues other than Thai, the official language, highlighting communication barriers. Rabies often spreads in remote areas with limited medical access. Given that such outbreaks depend on local conditions and awareness, the study suggests that media-based adult and continuing education can play a key role in rabies prevention.
