概要	The article give a brief historical overview of theatre commentary from the mid-eleventh century with an emphasis on the great shift between the style of commentaries before and after Meiji Restoration (1868) -- the shift from the gossipy and connoisseurly hyoban-ki to the modern, ie. objective and descriptive.
