| Details | In the UK, many sites are blocked against copyright infringement under blocking order. This paper examined the basis regulation, procedure, and requirement of the blocking order in the United Kingdom. It also discusses the relationship between blocking and freedom of expression and safeguards for interested persons against blocking operation. In addition, the following are also explained: the effect of blocking, the issue of cost, its operational status, blocking order other than the copyright infringement, and current government initiative for the introduction of the administrative blocking. Finally, I summarize some features of site blocking under the UK system. |
