Details | This study investigated an effect of a content analysis of the Rorschach human movement responses (M) based on the concept of visibility which seemed to be related to degree of the identification with others. In this method named visibility analysis of the movement, M were analyzed in terms of physical motions (manifest type), psychological activities (intrapsychic type), and combinations of physical and intrapsychic activities (combined type). The effect of the analysis was investigated by examining whether this method discriminate between several types of psychopathology. In addition, the special scores (Exner, 2003) were selected for correlational analyses because this study focused on relationship between degree of identification and the problems in thought process. The findings strongly supported an interpretation hypothesis assumed for each response type. The visibility analysis seemed effective for the assessment of psychopathology. Implications of this analysis were discussed in terms of quality and degree of identification. |
