Details This article reviews the evolution of the concept of psychological test feedback and its clinical significance, and incorporates the author's own clinical experience into the findings of the previous literature to examine measures to providing feedback more safely and appropriately. With the spread of the concept of informed consent and the influence of the humanistic view of existentialism and humanistic psychology in the field of psychological assessment, more emphasis has been placed on psychological test feedback. On the other hand, in psychological test feedback, there used to be a tendency to view this as dangerous, since unacceptable results may suddenly be handed down to the client. Hence, various researchers have devised ways to remove the harmful effects of feedback. In conclusion, it is considered important to give the utmost respect to the clients when providing feedback, and to have a dialogue between the client and the tester, instead of giving information unilaterally.
