Details To investigate the excitation mechanisms of emission center in electroluminescent devices, the alternating pulse generater which has very narrow pulse width was designed and fablicated. Time resolved emission spectra and time responces of the doubly insulated thin-film electroluminescent devices having electron-beam evaporated undoped ZnS and ZnS:TbFx as the active layer were measured with 500 ns pulse width at 12.5 Hz by the fabricated apparatus. From obtained results, transient behavior of emission were discussed.
