| Details | In this paper we investigate why modern contraceptive methods with high effect including pills have not spread in Japan.We study the controversy and social movements on contraceptive methods in Japan from 1940s to 2010s, and analyze survey data on the consciousness and behaviors of the Japanese people concerning contraception.We also examine the conditions for disseminating effective modern contraceptive methods in this country. |
