| Details | Whether nouns are acquired before verbs was examined in this study based on the acquisition data from Japanese. Japanese verbal nouns which denote verb-like meanings and yet structually behave like nouns are acquired before regular verbs which seems to refute Getner's (1982) natural partitioning theory. |
