| Details | In order to investigate professionalism of Japanese ICT workers from a gender perspective, semi-structured interviews with female ICT workers were conducted. Based on the result of the interviews, obstacles to development professionalism among Japanese ICT workers, especially female workers, are examined. The most serious problem is the interviewees didn't recognise the existence of gender issues in their working environment and it is guessed that this has caused the situation where ICT professionalism is found on the sacrifice of ICT workers in Japan. |
