Details | The magneto-oscillatory spectra in cuprous oxide can be interpreted as reflecting classical non-integrability of the Hamiltonian of an electron-hole pair generated by the incident light in magnetic fields. The spectra have multi-oscillatory structure, and three periods are extracted from the spectra. It is found that the three periods coincide with three recurrence periods associated with corresponding three types of unstable classical trajectories. The instability is due to non-integrability of the system with spherical Coulomb and planar diamagneticpotential of magnetic fields. This type of analysis opens the way to get an evidence of “quantum chaos” in solid state. |
